Online Learning

We combine online learning with coaching, workshops, and consulting – to create blended learning experiences customized to meet specific business needs. Our online learning allows us to deliver affordable executive level education to employee populations numbering into the thousands.

Learning Management System

We deliver our online learning using a Learning Management System (LMS) that contains a growing body of e-courses, learning modules, a library of resources, discussion forums, teleclasses, online coaching, and learning assessments.

Learning Development

We look at learning development in two ways:

  • Aggregating the best of what we know into valuable, structured learning experiences. This way, we develop aggregate forms of learning.
  • Distributing the knowledge and learning of everyone we work with so that we all benefit from the ‘wisdom in the room’. This way, we host distributed forms of learning.

Anyone who is actively using IAM material and concepts in their everyday life and professional work is qualified to Author new aggregate forms of IAM learning. Authors include Associates, Collaborators, Clients and others. Our intention is for IAM learning (new and existing) to be developed and combined by Authors to quickly create needed learning.

Our goals with aggregate learning development are:

  • Free flow of creative energy and collaboration
  • Rapid turn around from need identification to online learning delivery
  • Fun and easy development of high quality material
  • Distributed authoring and development
  • Creative reuse and/or repurposing of existing material
  • Access to as much existing IAM material as possible

We use Creative Commons licenses to guide the use and development of aggregate IAM learning.

We’re still creating our distributed learning development process. We’re talking with our web developers, our LMS provider (Social SAM) and trolling the web to find ideas.  Our goal is to offer collaborative online space for dynamic and prolific learning to occur.

Aggregate Learning Development Guidelines

IAM online learning is developed using the following guidelines. SCORM guidelines have been assessed for use with IAM learning; our material can be adapted to be SCORM compliant if need be.

Structure

  • Follows format/template of existing courses and modules (if applicable) or is free form.
  • The purpose of the course is clear and meets an identified need.
  • One primary learning objective is identified per module.
  • A high level description is included.
  • Learning nuggets to be captured are identified (for eventual use in an IAM mandala)
  • Each module can with either be standalone or be combined
  • Each module addresses all 4 adult learning styles (Kolb, Honey & Mumford): current situation; reflection/observation; abstract conceptual; experiment/action (part of current format/template). Detailed guidelines for each learning style are available.
  • Is concise/short – can be completed in 2-20 minutes
  • Is reusable in multiple situations
  • Each module contains a version number, author name and reference to a Creative Commons or other license agreement

Content

  • Address all 4 intelligences: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual
  • Is as comprehensively holistic as possible. For example, in addition to the 4 intelligences – touch on all areas of consciousness such as individual versus organizational, subjective/inner versus objective/external. Detailed guidelines for comprehensive holism ala Ken Wilbur are available.
  • Evokes both masculine and feminine energies (as a simplistic example, masculine energy is forward/action/movement oriented, feminine energy is reflective/nurture/renewal oriented)
  • References IAM concepts and frameworks as appropriate: Essence Map, Energy Map, Navigational Compass

Evokes Essential Best via a Coach Approach

  • Emphasis on stories, questions and evoking the wisdom of participants
  • Addresses participant as a collaborator in learning
  • Honors where ever a person is on their path
  • Encourages working through material in a personalized way
  • Allows for maximum freedom and choice
  • Challenges taking personal responsibility for creation
  • Hones self-knowledge and claiming wholeness
  • Uses language of appreciation, possibility, positivity and play
  • Takes advantage of contrast (tension between current reality and future creation); focuses attention on creating
  • Calls on people to be vital and inspired, fully engaged
  • Builds muscle of trusting self

  • Overall writing structure, grammar and use of vivid language is strong
  • Fills gap in IAM learning material
  • Demonstrates confidence, clarity and courage
