IAM An Essential Everyday Communicator
IAM An Essential Everyday Communicator
Workshop Overview
Communications, relationships and personal connections are the conduits of information in the knowledge economy. Every day we have opportunities to have real and substantial conversations that create new knowledge, value to others, and even growth and transformation.
In KT&A’s Essential Everyday Communications Workshop, we help participants develop the ability to create healthy and powerful communication that comes from the inside out. We use the IAM Maps and other tools to guide participants through internal dialogue that leads to conversations with others that is authentic, builds trust and enhances the value they create. When participants apply what they have learned, they will see immediate benefits in their work as they become more energized by deeply rewarding relationships and interactions – that cause revolutionary thinking and progress!
You Will Learn*
How to:
- Clarify why strong communication is essential. Understand the environmental factors that impact the need for communication, including the organizational culture, the goals for your organization, the demands of the knowledge economy, and more.
- Identify what needs to be communicated. Base the content of communication on how you best create value, both as an individual and as a group.
- Include who you are in what you communicate. Know that your authentic personality and perspective increases the effectiveness of your communications.
- Explore how to create trustworthiness in your communication. Create conversations that build trust via personal responsibility, openness, clarity and courage.
- Discover ways to connect personally with others. Set boundaries based on who you are, while also stretching to meet others where they are.
- Learn to stay the course when things get messy. Focus on common ground as a way to learn from natural challenges and barriers to communication.
* We customize learning objectives based on your current situation and strategic business needs. More advanced levels of learning are available and include: deeper exploration of staying the course when things get messy, consideration of content, timing and context, appropriate use of humor and play, and more.
